McKinney mayoral candidates raise combined total $41,713 in campaign contributions as of April 9

The 2009 McKinney mayoral candidates have been busy raising campaign contributions and the two mayoral candidates have collected the most money.

Mayoral candidate Brian Loughmiller has raised the money since contributions began pouring in. Loughmiller received $25,513 in contributions from Jan. 15 through April 9, according to his campaign finance report filed April 9. All candidates had until April 9 to turn in their most recent campaign finance reports to the city and they are open to the public to view per a public information request. Loughmiller also reported $28,560 in campaign expenditures, according to his campaign finance report filed April 9.

Mayoral candidate George Fuller reported that he received $16,200 in contributions and $17,375 in expenditures from Jan. 6 through April 9.

When asked on April 18 why he did not include the cost of a campaign billboard sign located on the east side of US 75, just south of State Highway 121 in Fairview, Fuler said via e-mail on April 18 that he didn't include the cost of the billboard sign because he hasn't yet paid for it.

 

The McKinney City Council at-large and District 1 candidates' campaign finance reports will be published on April 19.
