North Texas Export-Import Bank branch opens in McKinney
The North Texas branch of the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank) will officially open with a press conference featuring national, state and local officials at 2 p.m. on Nov. 18 at the TPC Craig Ranch, 8000 Collin McKinney Parkway.
The North Texas branch is a satellite of Ex-Im Bank’s Southwest Regional office, located in Houston, and is one of five regional offices in the U.S.
The North Texas branch satellite office will be housed in the McKinney Chamber of Commerce office at 1650 Virginia Street. Kelly Kemp, the North Texas Export-Import Bank branch's business development officer is responsible for marketing Ex-Im Bank products to north Texas, the Panhandle, and the state of Louisiana.
The Ex-Im Bank is an independent agency of the federal government. Its services supplement but do not compete with the private sector lenders. Its mission is to maintain and create U.S. jobs through exports.
It does so by assisting in the financing of U.S. exports and services, to foreign buyers in developing markets around the world. Its products include short and medium term export credit insurance, working capital loan guarantees for US Exporters, and/or loan guarantees and direct loans for foreign buyers of U.S. manufactured goods and services.
