McKinney based HEA company to showcase functionality of renewable energy products on May 1 and May 2

HEA to open in McKinney and manufacture and distribute wind turbines, solar panels and solar heat tubes

Created at 4:25 p.m. on April 27, 2009
The functionality of renewable energy products will be showcased at the grand opening of Home Energy Americas, LLC (HEA) from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. on May 1 and May 2 at HEA’s corporate headquarters, 1505 Mercury Circle, in McKinney.

HEA, a subsidiary of Home Energy International (HEI) of The Netherlands, has the exclusive rights to market and distribute the company’s Energy Ball® V100/V200 small wind turbines, solar panels and solar heat tubes for North and Central America, as well as the Caribbean.

The McKinney Economic Development Corporation is also working with HEA to help them open in McKinney and the company, which builds and distributes sustainable products is one of the MEDC's target markets that the MEDC is trying to capitalize on and bring to McKinney.

"Sustainable technology is one of our most important target markets and HEA represents the type of innovative technology we want to attract to our community," said David Pitstick, President/CEO of the MEDC. ”Its products will allow all types of consumers to save money while maximizing their energy consumption."

“The most significant point of our new company’s entré into the market is that companies may now purchase and integrate varied renewable energy products through one entity--HEA," said CEO/Manager Bob Thompson. "That gives builders, architects, distributors and dealers the flexibility to more effectively meet the end user’s need for heat, air and power."

Applications of renewable energy technology will be demonstrated from a modular display using HEA’s various products generating energy for DC air conditioning and on-demand water heating.  Videos and other presentations will also be shown throughout the event.

Additional products and services will be displayed by:

  • VAWT Manufacturing, Inc., of McKinney
  • Freedom Renewable Energy Enterprise, LLC of Rowlett
  • Sunrise Solar of Ft. Worth and Dallas
  • Solar Solutions of Prosper
  • EcoEnergy Solutions of Dallas
