Hair Option Salon provides personal touch to satisfy your beauty needs

Award winning master hair stylist Jennifer Spence Piercy believes in listening to her clients to help awaken their inner beauty to maximize their outer appeal.

Piercy has worked in cosmetology since high school, and has passionately fostered a life long love of making people look better for the last 22 years.

"I'm very passionate about what I do. What is important to me is helping my clients and making them feel comfortable," Piercy said.

She has worked at her salon, Hair Options Salon for the last two years, and she is currently located in the Salon Pour Vous at 3190 S. Central Expressway, in Suite 110 in McKinney, off of Craig Drive, at the southwest corner of Eldorado Parkway and US 75. She has four suites in Salon Pour Vous, which has individual offices, or suites for hairstylists to lease.

"I really like being here because I wanted the freedom to do the other things I enjoy," Piercy said.

Hair Options Salon offers hairstyling for men, women and children. Piercy's prices for women include $50 to $55 for a shampoo and cut; $55 to $65 for a shampoo, cut and style; $48 to $55 for a cut and style with a chemical service; and $10 for a bang trim.

Piercy's hairstyle prices for men are $26 to $28 for a wet cut; $28 to $32 for a shampoo and cut; $33 to $38 for a shampoo, cut and style; and $5 to groom facial hair.

The cost for color is $79 for a single application color to $23.50 each additional color, and $10 color saver treatments. Highlight pricing include $152 for a long full head of hair, $115 for a full head or hair or more than 20 foil wraps, to $75 speed weaving cap.

Hair Options Salon also offers facial waxing, hair straightening, hair extension application and removal, up sweeps styles, intense conditioning and glossing treatment, eyelash tinting for $25; brow tinting from $10 to $20; retexturizing and perms for $75 to $150; and eyelash enhancements for $20.

The Brazilian Blowout hair straightening and smoothing system is also one of the exclusive services featured at Hair Options Salon. The Brazilian Blowout prices begin at $350 and the price is determined on the length of the hair, and it can last for many weeks. A lot Piercy's clients return to her and her teammates because they say they feel pretty when they leave, Piercy said. When a client makes an appointment Piercy analyzes the client's body shape, face shape and lifestyle to ensure they get the hair style they suits them best.

"For the client to relate to the hairdresser is very important because the hairdresser needs to determine what they like and what they don't like, and you ned a variety of pictures of the hairstyles they like and to community with them," Piercy said.

Piercy also works as an educator, international platform artist, and color specialist with advanced training, and recently began working as an educator with Keune Hair Cosmetics.  After a year of research, she made the move to Keune. Hair Options Salon demands high quality and fashionable hair  care products, Piercy said.

"Keune produces unsurpassed quality products exclusively for the hair stylist has enabled us to develop and expand Keune Hair cosmetics from a national company into a global organization," Piercy said. She was one of 20 stylists from the United States who Keune Haircosmetics selected to teach and represent its company in Amsterdam.

Piercy was named educator of the year in 2006 and 2007,  and was named one of the top 10 colorists with Farouk Systems. She has also traveled to Jordan on behalf of Farouk Systems, where she educated stylists on hair coloring. Farouk Systems created the Chi flat iron and Chi styling products, and the Biosilk styling products.

Jennifer has studied under some of the best hair artists in the industry. For the past 12 years, she has been a Farouk Systems educator and was on Farouk Systems' creative artist design team for four years.

In the Salon, Jennifer has such a passion to share her knowledge with her clients and those around her. She trains future stylist through her apprentice program. In this program, she helps other stylists develop confidence in their abilities, teaches them about color and design and teaches them to be the best they can be. 

Piercy is also a platform artist at hair shows, and has worked at hair shows on the East and West Coast, she said. There are varied mediums for a hairstylist to work in, and what's nice about the industry is that there is never a shortage of hair dressers, Piercy said.

Outside the salon, Jennifer spends her time teaching classes to other hair artists and working at hair shows, Piercy said. She finds her work very rewarding and looks forward to working with her clients and staying up to date with all the future changes in the beauty industry, Piercy said.
